Los Angeles Dodgers 2010 [1]

The 2010 Los Angeles Dodgers as of June 17, 2010 have been playing well despite the rag tag team the Dodgers organization has compiled. The Dodgers up to this point of the season has been pitching with a broken, unsteady and unreliable starting pitching rotation. The Dodgers starting pitching rotation is Clayton Kershaw, Hiroki Kuroda, Chad Billingsley, John Ely, and Carlos Monasterios. The injury to Vincente Padilla has really set the Dodgers pitching staff back. Manager Joe Torre has occasionally used knuckle-ball specialist Charlie Haeger as a started this year but has not done so as often due to an injury Haeger sustained to his throwing arm.
The Los Angeles Dodgers offense has been producing runs and wins. Despite L.A.'s pitching problems the L.A. offense has been effective. The L.A. offensive threats consists of Manny Ramirez, Andre Ethier, Matt Kemp, Russell Martin, Casey Blake and James Loney. The Dodgers are in first place as of now. We will see if L.A. has what it takes to win the National League West. I predict that the Dodgers will win the National League West. The L.A. bench has also been a factor as to why L.A. is currently in first place. The L.A. roster this year has Manny Ramirez (LF), Matt Kemp (CF), Andre Ethier (RF), Casey Blake (3B), Raphael Furcal (SS), Blake DeWitt (2B), James Loney (1B), and Russell Martin (C). The Utility players L.A. has are Jaime Carroll (2B/SS), Ronnie Belliard (2B/3B), Garrett Anderson (PH/LF), Reed Johnson (RF/CF) and Brad Ausmus (C). The Dodgers seem to be hungry for another chance at a National League Pennant.
